Some New Projects

I am selling a few baby things on ebay now. Have started with some baby booties. They are so cute and easy to make. I hope to start selling some other baby and shower gifts on ebay also. I have made a sleeping sack and some baby mitts. I have just bought two new patterns to make. Papoose sets. They are really like the sleep sacks but just called papoose. Can't wait to get started on them. I will sell them also on ebay.

I have made this baby blanket in August. I have had the pattern for awhile but just never got around to making it. Wasn't sure what colors that the new mommy was going to use. I did know that she was having a girl so I thought I was safe using pink and mint green. Guess what!! the colors were perfect. The colors that she is using in the nursery are pink and green!

I am working on an afghan that I would like to enter into our street fair this year in September. I just hope I that can get it done. Working so many hours and trying to do something that I enjoy just sometimes doesn't work out. I have also been trying to work in my flower beds out in our backyard, in between the rain that we have been having. At least everything is growing including the weeds ;) The afghan is a pattern from Leisure Arts book. 63 easy to crochet pattern stitches combine to make an heirloom afghan. So far it hasn't really been that hard. Its keeping me brushed up on all the stitches. Plus I am working on a baby afghan. The baby afghan is due in Aug. so I have been working on it in the evening before bed. I think everything will get finished at least I hope so.

Half-Square Granny

I have been working on a new afghan pattern that I found in Crochet World April 2010. It has been pretty easy. Just time consuming having to sew the trinangles together. Then the strips. But I think it has been worth all the work. I have used my own colors instead of using the colors that they have used in the pattern. I like greens and browns, also the quilt looks more homey and the colors go with just about any color that you would have in a room. Now all I have to do is the edging. That should be a breeze!!! Can't wait to get it finished.

New Baby Afghan

I have just finished a new baby afghan for my husbands niece. She is due this month (April) and isn't sure if she is having a boy or girl. That is why I picked green and yellow. I just hope she likes it. I really like the colors and how it turned out. I used the circle in a square pattern that I found on Lion Brand Yarn website. It was really easy and went pretty fast.

Oh January

Well it's 11:03 can't sleep!!! I hate when I do that. I'm lucky that I have tomorrow off. Wouldn't be able to think very well at work if I had to go in! :) Well we had our snow our first week in January. I think that it snowed everyday that first week. The it was bitter cold and today well its warming up a bit. The snow is now turning into ice so you have to watch your step on the side walks, parking lots ect...... I wonder what the weather will do next week??? Oh it's Ohio you just never know what is going to happen with the weather here any ones guess. Last Week my daughter house caught fire. They were home and her husband was able to keep it under control. Took the fire dept. 20 min. to get there. What a mess!!!!! But everyone is just fine. Part of the house had fire damage. I need to check with my daughter to see if the afghans that I made for the girls are ok. If not then I guess I will be making some new afghans again. I did finish the black afghan will post a picture of it soon. Now I'm trying to finish the baby afghan. Will post a picture of it also.
